Weston Pass, at an elevation of 11,921 feet, is a high mountain pass that once served mining interests along Weston Pass Road. From the pass, visitors can see down the drainage of the South Fork of the South Platte River towards South Park as well as Weston Peak to the north and the Buffalo Peaks Wilderness Area to the south. A driving tour brochure is available for the Weston Pass Road to guide you on your journey. Most passenger vehicles can drive up to Weston Pass from the Park County side, but a 4WD vehicle is needed to access the pass from Lake County.
