The South Park Trailhead provides access to the South Park Trail, also known as the Square Top Lakes Trail. From this trailhead, you can take the trail north towards Guanella Pass or south towards Hall Valley, where the trail connects with the Red Cone Jeep Trail (FSR 565). The trail takes you through beautiful sceneries, as well as ample wildflowers, and is entirely above treeline. This trailhead is a great alternative to driving to the top of Guanella Pass, since the Guanella Pass Trailhead is often very crowded.
