This 1.5 mile trail circles Jefferson Lake and provides access for fishing. The State of Colorado stocks Jefferson Lake with rainbow trout, Mackinaw, and lake trout. Scenic mountains surround the lake and a stream and small brook enter the lake on the north side. The trail is best on the eastern shore and makes a nice stroll for those who do not ordinarily hike. The trail on the western shore is more rocky.
