The 950-acre Teter-Michigan Creek State Wildlife Area is located east of Jefferson along Michigan Creek. Fishing, hunting, and wildlife viewing are allowed in accordance with state regulations but no facilities are provided. Please visit the Colorado Parks & Wildlife website for a map of the designated parking area and area reserved only for fishing access. To reach the State Wildlife Area, drive southeast from Jefferson on Highway 285 for 2 miles then turn right on County Road 35 and drive two miles to the parking area.
