🏔️ Alma

Craving some delicious sourdough for a homemade breakfast sandwich? Swing by Bristlecone Bake Shop in Alma to pick up a fresh loaf. While you’re there, treat yourself to something sweet from their rotating selection of croissants, danishes, and cookies. It’s a cozy little stop that makes mornings in the mountains even better. Best for breakfasts Thursday through Saturday, as they often open later in the morning Wednesday.

At The Shaggy Sheep in Grant, breakfast is served daily from 7:00 AM to 11:15 AM—and as of May 16th, 2025, they’re officially open for the season! This popular spot draws crowds for good reason, with standout options like their smothered burrito, biscuits and gravy made with cheddar jalapeño biscuits, and baked avocado—halved and served with potatoes, two eggs, green chile, and melted cheese. It’s the only dedicated breakfast stop in Grant and delivers big, bold flavor in every bite. We’re excited to see them back for the season!

🌾 Guffey

Tucked away in southern Park County, The Bakery at Strictly Guffey is a must-visit when you’re passing through this charming mountain town. Known for their Famous Half Pound Cinnamon Rolls, this local favorite serves up serious flavor and satisfying portions. You’ll also find classic country breakfast options like farm-fresh omelets, the Colorado burrito, corned beef hash, biscuits and gravy, and more. It’s the only dedicated breakfast spot in Guffey, and it’s well worth the stop.

🌊 Hartsel

Located in the “Heart of Colorado,” the Highline Café & Saloon in Hartsel is a great place to fuel up before a day of fly-fishing in the area’s Gold Medal waters.
